You ask me where does my passion for enamel come from ? My father of course! For a long time, the word "enamel" was almost synonymous with that of Raymond Mirande ... Today I am still fired by the same passion, the same certainty that art and spirituality are inseparable. The techniques of enamelling interest me only in the measure that they can reveal the spiritual world. That is why I wanted to "un-cloisoonne" the "cloissoné" liberating me from traditional techniques, so that the techniques I use are entirely at the service of my own creativity.

Christophe Mirande exhibits collections of paintings in enamel on copper called "KOAN” exclusively on Emoluxe.com. Enamel-Koans are not discernable at first glance. One must tilt the head, moving the enamel piece so that light catches in the grooves etched into the copper and covered with transparent glaze, in order to read the letters that make up the Koan.
